Ideal for use as a coping stone with a range of angles as low as 150 degrees, it is made with 12mm thick graphite grey natural slate that is chemically and mechanically bonded to a proven long life grp liner. Mayans innovative designs are also available in 'all-in-one' fully vented dry fix or 'overlap' slate and stone ridge variations with a wide range of angles with block end, hip ends and ridge cap options. When used in the hip application, it is normal practice to use a hip that is one angle wider than the ridge being used. If in doubt of the angle, always choose the shallower angle e.G. Out of 105 and 90 , choose 90 . The angle of the ridge point can be measured with an angle measurer to determine the ridge angle required. Our angles are the true internal angle of our ridges in degrees. When measuring the angle, the stacking of the slates either side will add a few degrees to the true angle, so it’s best to measure the angle when the slates are installed, where the ridge will sit, rather than just the rafters.
