In addition to being very resistant to impact, they also will not shatter as glass does and are very easily kept clean with a soft cloth and warm soapy water. Whilst acrylic mirror discs have excellent reflective properties, they are not as rigid as glass mirrors and are therefore prone to distortion. To combat this, we recommend that the circular plastic mirrors are bonded to a flat rigid substrate such as plywood or mdf to minimise the distortion of the image. For any mirrored disc more than 100cm in diameter we would recommend using mirrored dibond as it is far more rigid in larger sizes which will greatly reduce any optical distortion, though dibond has a slightly diminished reflective quality.
