Laxative . An osmotic laxative that increases the osmotic pressure inside the small intestine, causing the release of water into the intestinal lumen, inducing a rapid bowel movement, generally within four hours.
Antacid . Sodium bicarbonate neutralizes excess gastric acid. Seniors no specific problems have been described, but in these patients, kidney or heart failure is more common. Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to any component of the medication.- Diarrhea .- Intestinal obstruction .- Appendicitis or intestinal perforation . Constipation .- Gastric hyperacidity .- Dyspepsia . Lactation it is unknown whether this medication is excreted in breast milk, and the possible effects on the infant. It is recommended to discontinue breastfeeding while using this medication. Children its safety and effectiveness have not been evaluated, therefore its use is not recommended. Guidelines for proper administration the preparation should be dissolved in half a glass of water. The preparation can be taken before or after meals. Posology dosage:
