In chinese culture the numbers six, eight and nine are considered to be especially lucky. Lastly, the number nine is related to permanence and longevity and is regarded as the luckiest of all the numbers. This lucky name certainly seems to have paid off when it comes to their delicious wines. This exquisite red wine is made with zinfandel, cabernet sauvignon, merlot, petite sirah and petit verdot grapes sourced from fine vineyards in the napa valley. After the fermentation process is complete the wine is then aged in oak barriques for nine months to give additional complexity to the finished wine. The result is a polished red wine that exudes concentrated ripe dark berry, sweet spice and dark chocolate aromas and flavours. This easy-going red blend is ideal to enjoy on its own on a cold winter night or alongside smoky barbecued meats, pizza or meaty pasta dishes.
