Drink it now or cellar for up to 10 years. No need to decant. Founded in reims in 1729, maison ruinart has always stood out as a company strongly focused on innovation and respect for tradition. Currently, attention to environmental problems is one of the pillars of the company philosophy, which devotes great effort to reducing the carbon footprint of packaging. The new ruinart second skin recyclable case is made from 100% paper and is nine times lighter than the previous pack. Made according to rigorous environmental standards and modeled on the iconic profile of the ruinart bottle, its chalky texture recalls the walls of the ancient champagne cellars. Ruinart blanc de blancs is a top-of-the-range champagne, produced from a 100% chardonnay blend from different vintages. The grapes mostly come from premiers crus vineyards of the côte des blancs and montagne de reims, famous for their aromatic finesse, with small additions of sézannais wines which are renowned for their roundness. The color is golden and extremely bright. The nose reveals ripe and lively citrus notes, followed by aromas of white flowers and stone fruit. On the palate, it is soft and harmonious, round and superbly fresh. The finish is mineral, long and refreshing. It is a perfect champagne for an aperitif, but it goes very well with all seafood, shellfish, and fish tartare.
