Clos otto shiraz is hentley farm's most iconic and representative wine. The grapes, from ancient shiraz clones, are sourced from the g block, which is planted on shallow, red clay soil. After manual harvesting and fermentation, the wine ages in french oak barrels 55% new for 22 months. The result is an elegant wine capable of aging for a couple of decades. In the glass, it reveals a deep, dark red color with purple highlights. Its aromatic profile is broad and rich, with notes of plum and blackberry, spicy and smoky touches, hints of licorice, and a mineral undertone.
