For this fancy chardonnay, they're picking grapes from vines that are 40 years old and planted on the typical chablis amazing soil kimmeridge limestone with more marine fossils which makes the wines complex, mineral, and rich. When you pour this golden-hued wine into the glass, your nose will catch whiffs of green apples, herbs, a touch of flint, and then some white flowers in the background. There's even a hint of spice. Take a sip and you will find it's got substance: it's rich and structured, but there's a freshness to it that makes it well-balanced. It has got an underlying minerality and it's elegant and deep.
