The i.O.Shen knife wizard nirey coarse replacement belt is an effective replacement belt for the ke280 and ke3000. The belts should last up to 100 sharpenings. Fine belts are perfect for softer steel knives or for japanese blades. Medium belts are fantastic for taking completely unprofiled knives back to where they should be. Medium belts are also great for german knives which tend to have more stubborn’ steel. Coarse belts are best suited for cleavers or thicker knives. These are quite aggressive when it comes to getting the job done right.
