Autumn dahlia shawl knit-a-long kal kit in naturalis by langyarns autumn dahlia is a warm and elegant lace shawl designed by kath andrews for a special knit-a-long collaboration between langyarns and the knitter. Beginning with a garter-tab cast-on, the shawl grows outwards in sweeping half-pi sections decorated with dahlia-inspired lace. A contrasting lace edging completes the design and highlights its softly scalloped shape. The pattern is presented as a three-instalment knit-a-long in the knitter. The first instalment appears in issue 233, on sale 1st october part two follows in issue 234, on sale 29th october and the final instalment appears in issue 235, on sale 26th november. The shawl construction itself is divided into four sections. Knitted in langyarns naturalis, the shawl is soft, warm and gently voluminous. This pure merino wool is dyed using plant-based ingredients, including carefully selected herbs, roots and barks.
