Was designed by mathieu matégot in 1953 and has a geometric shape and an organic shade that make it look like an sculpture. The lamp was named satellite’ by matégot to honour the scientific developments that occurred in france in the years following the second world war. The satellite pendant offers the characteristic rigitulle-properties the techniques and materials thought up by the designer himself to make it possible to bend and fold the fabric-like metal sheet into a pendant with a distinctive shape. The shade is available in five colours midnight black, white sky, shy cherry, venetian gold and rainy grey. The lamp is entirely unique, thanks to the bulb that is covered in perforated metal to ensure that it emits an atmospheric light to create a comfortable atmosphere. The interplay between light and shadow is directed at the walls and floors alike to create a dramatic effect regardless of whether you place the lamp in a dining room, a hallway or a public space like a restaurant.
