Course description this course is designed to refresh the learning of domiciliary carers on: module 1 keywords: equality, diversity, inclusion, discrimination, respect and dignity, duty of care and record-keeping module 2 health and safety: health and safety, lone worker policy, fire safety, basic life support including cpr and falls awareness module 3 food hygiene and infection control: including safe preparation, chilling, safe cooking, personal hygiene, ppe, infection control. Module 4 dementia and challenging behaviour: dementia awareness, mental capacity act, nutrition and hydration, positive behaviour support, handling violence and aggression, communication, person-centred care. Module 5 safeguarding of children and adults: definition of safeguarding, who is at risk from abuse, what is abuse, types of abuse, signs of abuse in children, reporting abuse in adults and children , risk assessments, documentation, reporting concerns, whistleblowing.
