Pharyndol sinus is a hypertonic glycerol solution that exerts 6 times greater osmotic pressure on the nasal passages, enriched with 4 plant tannins from green tea, blueberry and elderberry that have antiviral activity. The effectiveness of pharyndol sinus was compared with that of a hypertonic 3% nacl solution control group , in 113 patients, and the results were published in the scientific journal american journal of pharmtech research. Thirty minutes after the first use of pharyndol sinus, a strong decongestant effect was observed 32% . After the first day of treatment, it was observed that sinus reduced nasal congestion by 41%, while the hypertonic solution by 20%.
