Instructions for use apply a small amount of the product to completely cover the cold sore and a margin of healthy skin around it. It can be applied every 3-4 hours until the cold sore is healed. Precautions and warnings do not peel off the film that forms on the cold sore, as this could open it. If the cold sore and or symptoms persist after 12 days, consult your doctor.
