La gauloise liqueur bicentenaire jaune is a traditional french herbal liqueur with over 200 years of history, produced by the distillerie du centre in limoges, france. This yellow version is based on an original recipe from 1783, which includes over 30 carefully selected herbs, roots, and spices. The recipe dates back to the pharmacist edouard requier, who used an alchemical book of plants a so-called grimoire as the basis for this complex composition. To this day, the liqueur is macerated, distilled, and artisanally processed using traditional methods.
