Inspired by matt jefferies’ original klingon battleship design, the d4 was meant to serve as vorok’s battle starship but was ultimately replaced on-screen by a k’t’inga-class model from star trek: deep space nine. Although it never appeared in the series, this highly detailed model is a faithful recreation of the d4 concept ship, based on john eaves’ artwork and cg models. It maintains the recognizable klingon battleship silhouette, with simpler lines and colors, giving it a distinctive and authentic retro-futuristic look.
