Kyodama is a coarse, gritty medium used for potting repotting bonsai trees. It provides both good drainage and and its porous structure gives excellent water retention. This is a highly durable material meaning the granules don't break down over time and therefore they can be reused without suffering any degradation in performance.It can be used on its own or can be mixed with other substrates such as akadama, kurodama or any other kind of soil suitable for bonsais.
