Cleaning pu mats, or rubber mats are not really advised. Open cell mats are porous. The grip comes from the ability to suck the moisture from your hands feet into the open cells. This in turn, will eventually block up the open cells pours , making the mat less grippy. We advise you only spot clean the mat with a lightly damp cloth. Or you can use a dedicated pu open cell mat cleaner such as the manduka deep yoga mat cleanser for all open-cell pu grip, rubber yoga mats
