What does a 50x70 poster measure in inches?

A 50x70 poster converts to approximately 19.7 inches by 27.6 inches. That size fits many ready-made frames and is versatile for both single displays and grouped gallery walls.

How do scratch-off posters work and where should I put them?

Scratch-off posters reveal tasks, artwork, or progress markers as you scratch away a coating. They’re interactive motivators ideal for bedrooms, home offices, or workout spaces — anywhere you want a daily visual cue and a sense of accomplishment.

Can I mix different poster sizes in one gallery wall?

Yes. To make mixed sizes look intentional, align the centers or use a dominant central piece as an anchor, then arrange smaller pieces around it. Keeping consistent spacing, usually 2–4 inches, will make diverse sizes appear cohesive.

Is it worth framing an unmounted poster?

Framing elevates a poster’s look, protects it from dust and fading, and makes it ready to hang. Even a simple, low-cost frame can transform a poster from casual to gallery-quality, so framing is often worth the investment.

How do I choose between a poster, a canvas, and a giclée print?

Choose based on budget and the finish you want: posters are affordable and easy to swap; canvas adds texture and presence; giclée prints offer higher archival quality and richer color for photography or limited editions. Consider how permanent you want the piece to be and the overall style of your room.

Transform Your Walls: A Guide to Posters, Prints & Visual Artwork for a Stylish Home

Why a Poster or Print Can Change a Room

Ever walked into a room and felt like it finally “clicked”? More often than not, that feeling comes from the artwork on the walls. Posters and prints are like the jewelry of a room — small investments that polish and define your whole look. They can make a bland living room feel inviting, turn a narrow hallway into a curated gallery, or add calm to a bedroom after a long day. Best of all, you don’t need to be an art expert to pick something that speaks to you; you just need one good piece and a bit of confidence.

Spotlight: Paper Collective — Contemporary Posters with Character

If you like modern, thoughtful designs, Paper Collective is a name worth exploring. Their range includes bold graphic pieces, delicate botanical studies, and playful compositions that look great solo or in groups. Many of their best-selling posters are sized to fit standard frames and are designed to bring personality without overwhelming a space. Here are some standout pieces to consider — all listed in inches for easier planning.

The Foot Poster — A Bold, Minimal Statement (about 19.7" x 27.6")

The Foot poster is a lesson in how simplicity becomes memorable. With strong lines and a focused composition, it works especially well above low-profile furniture like a console or a sofa with a lower back. Think of it as a punctuation mark — it doesn’t shout, but it stops the eye in a good way.

Linocut III Poster — Handcrafted Charm in a Modern Shell (about 19.7" x 27.6")

Linocut III brings a tactile, hand-printed feel to contemporary walls. If you love the warmth of artisan work but prefer a clean, modern setting, this kind of print bridges the gap. Pair it with natural materials like wood and linen to amplify the handcrafted vibe.

The Black Hair Poster — Contrast and Attitude (about 19.7" x 27.6")

High-contrast pieces like The Black Hair poster add drama without clutter. They make excellent focal points in monochrome palettes or can act as a counterpoint to colorful furnishings. Use a slim black frame for a gallery-ready look.

Cerámica 06 Poster — Organic Forms for Calm Spaces (about 19.7" x 27.6")

This poster leans into earthy silhouettes and soft colorways, perfect for rooms where relaxation is a goal. Imagine it in a reading nook or bathroom where its organic shapes can riff off towels, plants, or ceramics on a shelf.

Flora Aquatica 01 Poster — Botanical Grace, Scaled for Impact (about 19.7" x 27.6")

Botanical prints like Flora Aquatica bring life without the maintenance. They work especially well in kitchens and bathrooms, or anywhere you want a fresh, airy touch. A thin white or natural wood frame keeps the focus on the delicate details.

High Vibes Poster — Add Energy and Color (about 19.7" x 27.6")

When you need a lift, a poster with a bold palette can change the room’s mood instantly. High Vibes is ideal for home offices, studios, or hallways where you want a cheerful nudge every time you pass by.

V Poster — Geometric Simplicity (about 19.7" x 27.6")

Geometric prints like the V poster are easy to mix and match. Use them in a grid of similar sizes for a minimalist gallery wall, or let one hang solo above a desk to lend structure to the space.

Long Hair Poster — Movement and Personality (about 19.7" x 27.6")

Illustrative works that suggest movement add narrative to your walls — they make the space feel lived-in and personal. Long Hair can be a conversation starter in a dining room or a focal piece in a bedroom.

Vessel 02 Poster — Subtle Still Life (about 19.7" x 27.6")

Vessel 02 nods to traditional still life but stays unequivocally modern. It’s a safe and stylish choice if you want an artwork that complements rather than competes with other elements in the room.

Blue Pipes Poster — Industrial Edge (about 19.7" x 27.6")

For lofts or spaces with exposed materials, a poster with industrial flair, like Blue Pipes, can emphasize the architecture. It’s particularly effective paired with metal frames or concrete accents.

Interactive Art: Scratch-Off Posters That Keep You Accountable

Want art that’s not just decorative but functional? Scratch-off posters are a clever twist on the traditional print. They combine visual appeal with a challenge — a scratch here, a reveal there, and suddenly your wall becomes a record of progress.

100 Exercises in Mindfulness Scratch Poster — Small Steps, Big Impact

This poster turns mindfulness into a daily ritual. Scratch off an exercise after you try it, and you’ll build a visual log of small practices that add up. It’s a great addition to a bedroom or office where you need a gentle reminder to pause and breathe.

100 Day Fitness Challenge Scratch Poster — Track Your Wins in Inches

Fitness challenges become less daunting when you can literally see progress on the wall. The tactile act of scratching off completed days provides an immediate sense of accomplishment — like leaving tiny flags on a trail you’re conquering.

How to Choose the Right Size and Frame

Picking the right size is more than math; it’s about balance. Posters around 19.7" x 27.6" are versatile because they fit standard frames and look good above furniture. As a rule of thumb, leave about 4–8 inches of wall space above a sofa or console, and keep the center of the artwork roughly at eye level — about 57 inches from the floor. Frames can transform a poster: go slim and black for a modern look, natural wood for warmth, or white for a gallery-style display.

Styling Tips: Arrange Prints Like a Pro

Want a gallery wall but not sure where to start? Think of your arrangement like a playlist: mix tempos. Combine a strong statement piece with smaller, calmer prints. Keep spacing consistent — usually 2–4 inches between frames looks tidy without feeling cramped. If you’re working with different sizes, align the centers on the same horizontal line for cohesion, or create a dynamic salon-style layout that spills outward from a focal piece.

Mixing Old and New: How to Blend Different Art Styles

Pairing an abstract Paper Collective poster with a vintage photograph or a bold typographic print gives a layered, collected-over-time vibe. Look for a unifying element — a shared color, a repeating shape, or complementary frames — to tie diverse pieces together. Think of your walls like a music mixtape: contrasting tracks can feel harmonious if someone curated them thoughtfully.

Practical Buying Tips: Where to Compare, What to Look For

Shopping for posters can be overwhelming with so many options available. Use comparison platforms to compare prices, shipping options, and seller ratings. When you look at a product, check the paper weight, print technique, and whether the poster is a limited edition or a mass print. These details affect how the piece will age and how it will feel in the hand. If sustainability matters to you, filter for prints on recycled or responsibly sourced paper.

Eco-Friendly and Ethical Considerations

Many modern art brands prioritize sustainability, using responsibly sourced papers, eco-friendly inks, and even donating a portion of proceeds to causes. When choosing a print, look for certifications like FSC or statements about recycled content and carbon offsetting. These small checks can help ensure your new wall art looks good and does good, too.

Alternative Art Options to Complement Posters

Posters are versatile, but they aren’t the only option. Canvas prints add texture and depth; framed giclée prints offer archival quality for photographic work; and unframed fine art prints can be swapped out seasonally for a fresh look. If you want to support local artists, consider limited-run prints or one-off screen prints — they’re often more affordable than originals but still feel special.

Care and Longevity: Keep Your Prints Looking Fresh

To keep your prints in great shape, avoid direct sunlight whenever possible and aim for consistent indoor humidity. When framing, consider UV-protective glass to prevent fading, and use acid-free mats to avoid yellowing. If you have scratch-off posters, keep them in a dry spot and consider a clear frame or box frame to protect the unlocked surface from accidental scuffs.

Budgeting: Make a Big Visual Impact Without Breaking the Bank

You don’t need to spend a fortune to create a gallery-worthy wall. Pick one standout piece and surround it with smaller, more affordable prints. Look for seasonal sales and bundle deals, and consider standard-sized posters that fit inexpensive ready-made frames. Another quick trick: swap inexpensive posters in for seasonal refreshes and save pricier, limited-edition pieces for focal displays.

How to Hang Like a Pro

Hanging things straight is both a science and an art. For single pieces, aim for the center at about 57 inches from the floor. For groupings, lay the arrangement on the floor first to test spacing and balance, or cut paper templates and tape them to the wall. Use proper picture hooks for weight support, and a level — even a basic app on your phone will do — to keep everything aligned.

Final Thoughts: Pick What Makes You Smile

At the end of the day, the best poster or print is the one you enjoy looking at every day. Whether you gravitate to bold, graphic Paper Collective pieces, interactive scratch-off challenges, or soft botanical prints, trust your instincts. Art should make your space more you — a little louder, a bit calmer, or more interesting — and it should be fun to collect.

Ready to refresh a wall? Start with one piece you can love for years, and build your collection from there. Small changes make a big difference — and sometimes all it takes is the right print to make your room feel like home.
